Antonio lived in Valletta all of his life, which is logical since this the capital was the main source of employment in the 19th century.

He is one of my paternal 4 x great-grandfathers.

I don’t know much about his birth, but since he married in 1836, I estimate he was born early in the 19th century.

He was the son of Alessandro¹ and Margarita née Callus²

Family

On Sunday 10th January 1836³, he married Anna nèe Cassar⁴. They married in the Basilica of Our Lady of Safe Haven in Valletta⁵.

Together they had at least one son⁶:

I know he continued living in Valletta after marriage because his son lived there before marrying in 1858⁷

Death

I know Antonio was still alive in 1863 when his grand-daughter was born⁸.

It’s possible he died before 1900, because only his son is listed in the 1900 electoral register. It’s also possible he didn’t qualify to be on the register, so I can’t use this as an absolute fact just yet.
