I know little about Bartolomeo d’Armenia, the 8th Senior Lusignan male heir, mainly because of the lack of records.
He is my 9 x great-grandfather.
He was born in Malta sometime after 1611, son of Gio Leonardo d’Armenia and Antonia Spiteri1. He was known as Leonardo, possibly because this was a second name of his2.
Titles
He was the 8th Senior heir of the Lusignan family, through his paternal grandfather’s family3.

This gives him the title of ‘Prince'4. Based on my research his grandfather Eugene never claimed the title and actively escaped from the royal family of Cyprus. It’s hard to say if Bartolomeo merited the title, or if it was an affectation.

Family
Bartolomeo married Franca d’Arena and had 6 children5:
- Filippo
- Marion
- Gio Batta
- Grazio Leonardo
- Antonio
- Aloisea
- Flaminia
Death
He died in 1683. I don’t know where he died, what he died of, or where he is buried.
Lineage
He is my 9 x great-grandfather.
