There is little information about Gio Leonardo d’Armenia except that he was an Ambassador in 1541.

He is my 10 x great-grandfather.

Gio Leonardo d’Armenia was born in Malta at some point after 1508, son of Eugene Matteo d’Armenia and Paola Mazzara1.

Titles

As the eldest son of Eugene Matteo, he would have inherited the title of Titular Prince of Cyprus, Jerusalem, Armenia, and Titular Prince of Antioch, Tripoli and Galilee2 from his father. Since Venice had ruined the situation in Cyprus this was a meaningless title, without any roles or responsibilities.

Family

Leonardo married Antonia Spiteri but I don’t know when3 or where the marriage took place.
