I have only one primary source of information about Giuseppe, but there’s much that can be inferred from other sources.

He is one of my maternal 3 x great-grandparents.

Giuseppe was born in Valletta¹, to Ignazio Grech² and Dianora Cauchi³.

He was born in either 1829 or 1830, because he died at the age of 65⁴ in 1895⁵.

Family

On Saturday 19 April 1851⁶, he married Francesca Casha⁷ at the Basilica of Our Lady of Safe Haven in Valletta, Malta⁸.

Together they had at least 1 child:

Notable events

He lived all his life in Valletta¹⁰. His last known address was 327 St Paul’s Street, Valletta¹¹.

He worked as a tailor¹². Given life at the time, it is reasonable to assume his shop was in Valletta.

Death

He died on Saturday 19 January 1895¹³ at 22:00¹⁴ of bronchitis¹⁵.

His family buried him in the Maria Addolorata cemetery¹⁶ in Marsa, Malta.
