Luigi Xuereb

There are almost no primary sources for Luigi given the lack of concrete data around his life.

He is one of my paternal 3 x great-grandfathers.

Luigi, or Aloisio, Xuereb was born around the end of the 18th century. He was the son of Giuseppe Xuereb¹ and Maria Borg².

Since his parents lived in Valletta³, it’s probable he was born there.

Family

On Sunday 31 May 1835⁴, he married Rosaria Sant⁵ in the parish of Our Lady of Porto Salvo⁶ in Valletta, Malta⁷.

He lived in Qormi since that is where his son was born⁸.

He died before his grand-daughter was born in 1890⁹. I have no further information about his death, its causes, or where he was buried.
