Giovanni lived in 19th century rural Malta. There is little practical information about him, but his marriage to a Żebbug-born lady reflects the close connection these two villages have always had.

With a name like Filippo, it’s no surprise to learn he was born in Żebbug. He may also have been mentioned in an Italian newspaper, if my indications are correct.
