Emiliane was the second wife of Ebalus Manzer. Little else about her life is documented.

She is my 28 x great-grandmother.

It’s likely she was born in France but I don’t know when. Based on her likely date of marriage, it’s reasonable to conclude she was born between 885 and 891. I don’t know who her parents were.

Titles

There is no record of her having any titles. As the wife of a Count and a Duke, she must have held the title of Countess consort and Duchess consort but I have found no mention of this.

Family

She married Ebalus Mamzer sometime before February 9111 because this is the earliest documented mention of her as his wife.

We know Ebalus Manzer was an illegitimate child (Manzer is Jewish for ‘illegitimate’) so marrying him would not have a worthy move for a respectable woman. It is reasonable to conclude she married him because he was a nobleman.

Since Ebalus lived in Aquitaine, she must have too.

Together she and Ebalus had two children1:

Death

I don’t know anything about where, when or how she died. I also don’t know where they buried her.

Lineage

She is my 28 x great-grandmother.
